I sent out an email update to all my friends. Here's what it said:
So, I saw my doctor today & CT Scan results are in: severe disc herniation between L4-L5. Pain & weakness in right leg. Foot showing signs of drop foot meaning that the muscles are now being affected. Fear of perm nerve damage to worry about now.
I'm being referred to a neurosurgeon for probable surgery. Dr said they don't usually see this level of severity. Now must wait to get an appointment w/surgeon. I will continue to blog about all this here.
If you know of a prayer chain or list, PLEASE, PLEASE add my name. I'm in a lot of debilitating pain & am fearful of back surgery & any possible delays getting to the specialist or the MRI that ultimately will be required.
